Together with Gabriele Aichberger, Edith Brunner, Karin Eisschiel, Waltraud Mitis, and Susanne Wanitschka, I authored "Zahlenreise" (Number Journey), a proven mathematics textbook for elementary schools, published by Veritas. Each grade level consists of two learning sections, a practice section, a CD-ROM, and a teacher's edition.

My new differentiated learning materials are now available from Veritas. In addition to teaching instructions, you will find numerous reproducible worksheets for differentiating instruction in mathematics for grades 1 to 4.

The Numbers Journey hits include songs about "The Robber Minus One" and "Seven Brave Little Tailors," and anyone who has ever danced the "Carrot Mambo" knows how easy doubling works!

All songs have been tested with elementary school children. The sheet music includes all the songs as well as teaching tips for implementation. The CDs contain both full versions and backing tracks – making learning a breeze. Guaranteed to get stuck in your head!

In Fairyland
A fairytale musical for elementary school

In the fairytale land of Florian Moitzi

By Margit Steiner, Monika Falkensteiner and Florian Moitzi
The following projects were created in the interdisciplinary and cross-grade teaching at the small school on Magdalenaberg during the 2009/10 school year, with great enjoyment of the work itself:
Sets, costumes, scripts, dances, a DVD... - yes, a musical. The experiences gained helped develop social skills, boost self-esteem, and foster special talents.
The book itself contains instructions, schedules, song lyrics, application examples, a reference to the competence model of the educational standards and more.
Contents:
A child falls asleep and wakes up in the land of fairy tales. Together with Hansel and Gretel, it sets off to help a queen who must guess the name of a little man in order to keep her child.

These training packages are designed specifically for children who primarily solve addition and subtraction problems by counting – even simple calculations within the number range up to 20. The program trains quantity perception and builds solid mental representations, while also reinforcing various calculation strategies.

Fine motor skills, sense of rhythm, language skills and geography - with this "animal" song, children expand their knowledge in several areas at once.

In this article by Natalie Behrendt and myself, numerous teaching suggestions are outlined for my song "Nico, the mosquito". This issue of Pamina also includes reproducible worksheets and audio examples.

Pamina is a specialist journal for music practice in primary school.
